7 days gallery

The wish to show art and cultural creations lead to the development of this application: a collaboration between artist Alève Mine and programmer Eric Bréchemier, which won a Best Application Award at ITU Telecom 2011.

QR code and text URLs allow to further the discovery of the works. The screens with biographies of artists and designers include contact details to get from digital interactions to actual conversations.

A museum or a gallery can use the result like demonstrated in the 7 days Fine Arts example. Each collection features a selection of works of a different artist for each day of the week.

7 days gallery can also be used as a cultural archive, as shown in the 7 days Culture TV example which features collections of photographs and illustrations.

With the 7 days gallery, discover today what tomorrow is made of.

Lisa Sibade is 37, she lives in Paris and has been painting for about 15 years.
She draws her inspiration from cities she visisted in her travels: New York, Hong Kong, and from her favorite theme, the woman, omnipresent and graphic, sensual and colored.
Impressionism, surrealism are her two main influences with a focus on composition and the atmosphere created by drawing.

7 days: a Paper Prototype

The design of the 7 days gallery started on paper, with sketches of wireframes.

I published a set on Flickr with early sketches of the application.

7 days Paper Prototype on Flickr

The intent of these wireframes is to provide a support to think about the organization of information in each screen, and the flow of navigation and other interactions from screen to screen.

Each screen is drawn on a separate page, with pictures replaced by crossed-out boxes, copy text replaced with Lorem ipsum, and comments added to explain relevant details of the design that cannot be seen on a static sketch, for example interactive parts.
